Turku University Library consists of the Feeniks Library (the national deposit collection, the special collections and languages and linguistics), Calonia Library (law), Educarium Library (education and social sciences), Turku School of Economics Library (economics), Quantum Library (mathematics and natural sciences) and Teutori Library (medicine, dentistry, nursing science, history, cultural studies and art studies). You can borrow material with your library card from all of these libraries.
Check the availability of books and printed journals in Volter database utu.finna.fi. In Volter you can also make reservations, place requests and renew your loans. Volter can be used via Internet anywhere and anytime.
When making reservations, you need the library card number and a PIN code. Initially, the PIN code is your birth date (ddmmyy). Remember to change your PIN code!
You can get a LIBRARY CARD from any of the Turku University libraries by providing your identity card and address in Finland. You need the library card when you borrow, make reservations or requests. The library card is personal. By using the library card you agree to obey library regulations. More information at utu.fi/library.

You will find information about the accessibility of the libraries and library services on our accessibility web pages. The website also contains information about the accessible course book services for print disabled students and about the services provided by the Celia Library.
You can use electronic journals and other electronic resources via the Volter database: utu.finna.fi and via the ResearchGuide in your own subject field: http://libguides.utu.fi/ . Remote access (from outside the university network) to the electronic resources is possible by signing in to Volter with your utu network account.
The electronic resources are available in the network of Turku university or through remote access. Remote access requires the UTU user ID and password.
The library is a studying and working environment, so please remember to take other library users into account in the library premises.
